Storage Tips for Book Printing Paper (2)

Because paper is one of the important materials in printing production, it is very important to keep and manage paper. During transportation, paper must not be thrown from high to low to avoid loose parts and damage. The parts should not be stored and transported upright, they should be placed flat, and should not be parked in the open air for too long, and should be moved into the workshop or warehouse in time.

1. The paper is moisture-proof. Paper is very sensitive to the humidity of the air, and the moisture content in the paper always changes with the humidity in the air. The warehouse where the paper is stored should be clean, dry, or placed directly in the offset printing workshop, and the stack of paper should be kept some distance from the ground and away from the walls. The indoor relative humidity of the storage place should be kept at 60%~70%, and the room temperature should be 18~22℃.

2. Paper sunscreen. The paper must be protected from direct sunlight, otherwise it will become brittle and yellow due to the evaporation of water in the paper, and at the same time, the paper will be warped and deformed, and even worse, it will not be able to be used for printing.

3. The paper is heat-proof. Paper should not be stored in a place where the temperature is too high. When the general paper is subjected to a high temperature of more than 38°C, its strength will be significantly reduced, and it will be warped and deformed. Especially, the coated paper will stick to a block and be scrapped.

4. The paper is anti-folding. Paper storage should be flattened and stacked, and absolutely avoid placing it in three folds. When stacking, must not make the two ends of the paper protrude in a staggered manner, otherwise the protruding parts will easily deteriorate.
